Hermès Scarves Olive green

Hermès scarf from 1958 designed by Xavier de Poret. signed Hermès, signed Xavier de Poret. It was given to my mother for her 50th birthday. Xavier De Poret was a famous and accomplished artist, best known for his pencil drawings of animals from our forests. All 14 of his creations for La Maison Hermès are rare and highly sought after by collectors around the world. This is the first issue dated 1958. The silk twill is always "crisp" and the edges are rolled and sewn by hand. plump. Silk is very soft. It bears the artist's signature at the bottom left and is signed "Hermès Paris" at the bottom right. No other labels as was customary at Hermès at that time.
