Van Cleef & Arpels was founded in 1906 on Place Vendôme by Estelle Arpels and Alfred Van Cleef. More than a century later, it stands among the five great fine jewelry houses in the world — and on the resale market, the demand revolves around one collection: Alhambra, the four-leaf clover quatrefoil drawn in 1968 that became the maison's emblem.

Our Van Cleef & Arpels women's jewelry selection runs to over 600 pieces, with a clear dominance of rings (the largest slice), followed by necklaces, earrings and bracelets, complemented by pendants, brooches, and a handful of high-jewelry watches. The average ticket on this category sits around €7,000, entry point starts near €100 for a small monogram piece, and the upper range climbs past €100,000 on diamond-pavé high jewelry rings.

Reading the collections. Vintage Alhambra (the resale staple, ~17 mm motif) in yellow gold with mother-of-pearl, malachite, onyx, carnelian, lapis lazuli or turquoise. Sweet Alhambra (~9 mm) for slim wrists and stacking. Magic Alhambra with asymmetric motifs. Pure Alhambra in plain gold. Authentication. Every piece runs through our process: 750‰ hallmark, "VCA" or "Van Cleef & Arpels" engraved signature, serial number, clasp integrity, stone and gold condition, certificate or original red box when available. On this perimeter, roughly two-thirds of pieces grade as very good condition, the rest split between good, excellent and never worn (often with the original VCA red box).
