The butterfly is undoubtedly the most evocative symbol of metamorphosis. Anchored on the ground as a caterpillar, from nymph to imago, it flies in the air with incomparable lightness. The cocoon, from which he escapes, is made of a precious thread that is nothing but silk. Borrowing outlines of four beautiful Lepidoptera, the Attacus Caesar of the South of the Philippines, the Mittrei Argema from Madagascar, the Epiphora Bauhiniae of Saharan Africa and the Jacobece of America, Aline Honoré protects the powdery scales of their wings with a multitude of geometric motifs and places their stylized silhouettes on a bed of cocoons.
On the right, a circle welcomes a horse that has been obtained only through the use of circles made of gray in such a way that it looks to be metallic. In the lower triangle, a multitude of details lets imagine a forest with a temple in the center. In the triangle at the top of the piece of fabric, a butterfly spreads its wings with perfectly imagined drawings.
The colors are extremely refined and the photos are true to reality. Any variations are due to the difference of light.
