Good evening Dominique, the total length of the decorative part of the necklace without the chain is 39 cm, while the length of the chain is 9 cm. So when closed, because the closure is adjustable the length can be either 40 cm or 49 cm. As I note, the inside diameter when the necklace is closed ranges from approximately 11 to 14 cm (depending on which hoop of the chain one adjusts the closure). Hope this helps! Thank you, V
