Prada Symbole Bag — Jacquard, Micro, Small | JoliCloset

The Prada Symbole launched for the Fall-Winter 2022/23 collection. Its jacquard fabric, woven with a repeated geometric motif, turns the house's emblematic triangle into an all-over pattern — a modern rewrite of the Prada logo that Miuccia Prada deliberately kept quieter than a classic monogram. Sizes and shapes

The Symbole comes in three main formats: Micro (roughly 19 × 17 × 6 cm), Small (roughly 28 × 22 × 9 cm) and Large (roughly 27.5 cm height, 25 cm depth). The handles are consistently cut from Saffiano leather, in contrast with the jacquard body, and a detachable shoulder strap allows cross-body wear. A travel bag version in black jacquard has also been added for both women and men.

The pattern is created through jacquard weaving, not printing: the triangle appears in relief, tonal or contrasted depending on the colourway (black, ecru, navy, burgundy). This construction makes the Symbole lighter than a full-leather version and more resistant to everyday friction. The interior lining is Saffiano leather, hot-stamped with the Prada Milano marking.

Retail vs. pre-owned price

At Prada boutiques, the Symbole starts around €2,600 for the Micro and climbs past €4,200 for the Large. On JoliCloset, listings start near €1,100 for Micro pieces in very good condition and reach about €2,800 for lightly used Large editions — a 35% to 55% discount versus retail, with authentication carried out before every listing goes live.

What to check

On a pre-owned Symbole, examine: the regularity of the jacquard weave at corners (the triangle should redraw cleanly, without misalignment), the Saffiano grain on the handles, the seating of the metal plates, and the Prada Milano stamp inside. The fabric can pick up faint traces of wear if the bag has been carried against dark denim; a gentle clean usually fades them.
