Brand: In 1960, Valentino Garavani joins forces with Giancarlo Giammetti to found the eponymous house. Located in Piazza Mignanelli, in Rome, the brand's workshops use ultra-modern industrial techniques while reserving an important place for manual and artisanal work. With their know-how, the workshops also welcome Bottega Couture, a high fashion school. It was during the Pitti Uomo of 2012, in Florence that the men's line is produced. Then in 2008 Valentino Garavani leaves the artistic direction to the duo Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, which breathed new life into Valentino and made it a big name in the fashion world. Then after 8 years of collaboration Pierpaolo Piccioli is appointed sole artistic director.
