A 1970s lounge chair by Farstrup Møbler, the Danish furniture maker known for honest, well-built pieces for the everyday home. A dark bentwood frame sweeps from the high back down into sled-like legs, giving the chair its relaxed, slightly reclined posture. Tan leather straps hold a brown leather sling, on which rests a generous buttoned cushion with a separate headrest. Suspended within it sits a generous buttoned cushion in soft brown leather, carried by leather straps and running from the seat all the way up to a separate headrest. The leather has taken on a warm patina over the decades, adding depth and character to the tufted surface. It's a quiet, comfortable classic of Scandinavian modern design.
