Authentic large vintage Hermès Paris table set from the famous theme **“Hunt in India”** created by designer **Michel Duchêne** for Hermès in 1986 on the occasion of “The Year of India.”

The “Hunt in India” motif is part of the iconic orientalist themes of the Hermès house. It is inspired by a princely tapestry from Benares (Varanasi, India) and ancient Mughal textiles depicting royal hunting scenes intended for Indian palaces and maharajas.

Hermès reinterprets here the refined universe of Indian decorative arts with a dense vegetal composition populated by tigers, armored elephants, horses, gazelles, birds, Indian hunters, and stylized ornamental vegetation.

✨ Elegant, decorative, and rare piece from the Hermès home linen / Table Art collection, much less common than silk squares.
