Céline Luggage Bag

The Céline Luggage is the icon of the Phoebe Philo era. Launched in 2010 around a smiling face — the horizontal T-shaped zip that draws a geometric face with the two side wings — it redefined what a structured day bag could look like. Our catalogue holds 287 authenticated pre-owned Céline Luggage bags, every size covered, from evening Nanos to oversize Phantoms.

Luggage sizes and formats

The Luggage comes in four main sizes: Nano (20×20×10 cm) carried by hand or crossbody as an evening bag, Micro (27×27×14 cm) on the line between light daily and carry-on, Mini (30×31×17 cm) sized as a work bag, and Medium (31×31×17 cm) for the full format. The Phantom, taller and without the front zip pocket, and the Edge, more angular with a strap closure, are limited-edition variants worth recognising at a glance.

Leathers and materials

Drummed Calf (drummed grained calf) remains the historical material: it absorbs daily use without marking and holds its shape. Smooth calf, rarer, asks for more care but delivers a taut, clean touch. Several runs in bi-colour calf, suede, python or alligator exist — exotic editions trade at several thousand euros on the secondary market. Phoebe Philo's linen and reinforced canvas pieces sign the summer drops and remain prized by collectors.

Buying a pre-owned Céline Luggage: price and value

A Luggage Medium in smooth calf retailed around €3,100 before production ended. On the secondary market, plan for €900 to €2,200 depending on size, material and condition. A Nano in grained calf in good shape sits between €700 and €1,100; a mint Medium often passes €1,800. Tri-colour, python or alligator editions can reach €5,000 to €8,000. The Luggage holds its value especially well thanks to its official 2018 production end.

Authentication: Luggage markers

Every Luggage is checked before going live. Model-specific markers: perfect symmetry of the two side wings (often off on replicas), Lampo or Riri original zip, CÉLINE Paris signature with acute accent (the Luggage is a Phoebe Philo model, always pre-2018 — absence of the accent is a red flag), interior date code on a leather tab, regularity of the saddle stitch around the zip and the handles.
