Céline Vintage Celine Rectangular Sunglasses Late 1990s Grey Purple

Paris, c. 1999: The Céline eyewear studio embraces a sharp, shield-like
silhouette—the era’s take on clean lines and understated sportiness. These sunglasses
feature a smoke-gray plastic frame, cut into a crisp rectangle and fitted with gradient
purple lenses. Silver-tone metal rivets at the hinges and a discreet round
medallion, engraved with “CELINE” and its accented “E,” punctuate the temples; the
sans-serif logo is repeated on the inside of the temple and on the cream microfiber dust bag.
Substantial in the hand, the construction balances lightness with presence. The
gradient lenses transition from violet to gray, offering full coverage; the temples
close with a satisfying hinge. The original Céline case is included, embossed
all over with the house’s repeating ‘C’ motif, typical of late 1990s–early 2000s
eyewear.
