Vintage Chloé Paddington Pebbled Leather Wallet c. 2005 Black

A substantial gold-tone padlock secures the front flap, set against black pebbled
leather with a subtle sheen and rounded corners. Below the clasp, a matching
gold-tone key and silver-tone zipper catch the light, drawing the eye to the
bifold silhouette. The edges show only slight softening at the corners—a sign
of use, but the structure remains crisp.
This piece belongs to Chloé’s Paddington line, launched under Phoebe Philo in
2005. The oversized padlock hardware was the hallmark of the era—a detail
that became instantly recognizable when the first Paddington bags sold out
before even reaching the store shelves. The engraved serif “Chloé” on the padlock marks
this as one of the original designs from the mid-2000s, at the height of the
house’s bohemian phase.
