A hammered gold-tone 'G' push-lock secures the front flap, its surface catching
the light against crisp, black leather panels. The clasp is engraved with
'GIVENCHY' in serif capital letters, set within a rectangular frame that sits flush
against the structured silhouette. An adjustable leather strap threads through
gold-tone buckles on the sides, allowing for both hand and shoulder carry.
Smooth black leather forms the exterior, shaped with sharp corners and a
reinforced base to maintain its shape. Inside, the bag is lined in black fabric and
features a zippered pocket and a slip compartment, both trimmed in matching
leather. The gold-tone hardware remains shiny; minor surface wear is visible upon
close inspection. No accessories are included.
The serif “GIVENCHY” logo on the clasp and the construction details date this
piece to the late 1970s–early 1980s, during Hubert de Givenchy’s tenure as creative director.
It’s a quietly assured design from the era when the house defined Parisian chic
through precision and restraint rather than spectacle.
