History
Gucci is one of the most famous Italian high fashion brands in the world, and its watches and jewels fully reflect the tradition of style and originality of which the company founded in Florence by Guccio Gucci in the now distant 1921 she has always made herself a standard bearer.
In the 1921 Guccio Gucci founded the company of the same name in Florence for the production of leather goods, gloves and luggage. In the 1923 the first brand of the fashion house only reported the founder's name in calligraphic font, probably derived from his signature.
And the 1960 Aldo Gucci, one of Guccio's three sons, draw the symbol with the two crossed “Gs”., clear reference to the founder's initials; this graphic sign, not yet become the company brand, is re-proposed in different guises, namely; merged into a circle, opposing, inverted and in abstract form. So in the 1971 the logo will be composed with a serif character while only in the 1992,with the artistic direction of Alessandro Michele, the lined "G" symbol will officially appear in the company brand, until then only used as handles on bags, footwear and belts.
From 1998 official communication will be entrusted only to the logo composed with a lapidary serif character, very spaced; it is with this brand that the company presents itself in the world as a distinctive expression of "made in Italy".
In the 2019 the new Gucci monogram embellishes accessories such as jewelery and bags; presents the two Gs superimposed and both facing to the right.
