Superb square Hermes titled "Winter Chimes"
Signed Christiane Vauzelles in 1981. Unique edition.
Emerge from the end of winter, these delicate gold chimes stand out on refined flakes full of simplicity and dynamism. In harmony, on this background squared with flakes, the chimes draw graceful curves giving a feeling of a happy but serene rhythm. otherwise, the apparent symmetry of the composition and the juxtaposition of chimes / flakes pleasantly stimulate the view.
This square reminds us of André Theuriet's beautiful poem:
