Hermès: Superb collection square titled "A Cor and Cree"
Signed Ch. J. Hallo in 1960. Unique edition.
At the hunting horn that we ring, the dogs cry when chasing big game.
This square is inspired by scenes from the eighteenth century, displaying hunters and their fox dogs, while the ladies follow the events of the day sitting in a very elegant carriage. This in the fabulously colorful vignettes.
Margin and pale pink background (at the edge of the old rose) present these hunting scenes in ex-libris in shades of gray, parma, Yellow, purple, very pastel gray... The palette of colors used by Charles Hallo is sumptuous of refinement and is matched only by his talent.
Mixed, it is even more beautiful in reality than in photos!
Beautiful square, highly sought after by collectors because unique edition of 1960. No copyright, of course, since the copyright will only appear in 1967.
This square can not be like new, but is in exceptional condition for its old age.
The silk of the time is fabulous.
