The Mediterranean region is, with the basins of the Indus, you go, of the Yellow River and Yangtze River, one of the most important for the history of the world. It is the starting point of many great civilizations, which Western civilization fed. So, dès 3000 av. J.-C. and during the whole period called Minoan, Cretan ceramic art is undoubtedly one of the most successful. Patterns will evolve over time. When princes built palaces a thousand years later, they sheltered their potters there, and the art pottery became fine and polychrome: Kamares style, Palace style... Inspired by the formal richness of this art, this square, like an anthology, combines finesse of line and flat of colors.
