Hermès Collectible vintage 1992 foulard Multiple colors
Amazing and collectible foulard by Hermes. In damask silk twill material, titled "Christopher Columbus discovers America 12 October 1492". created in 1992 commemorating 500 years of the discovery of America, signed by artist Carl de Parcevaux. Extremely vivid colours are used to depict the Spaniard's ships sailing the Atlantic. Great motif with historical accuracy and its painstaking attention to detail, featuring the drifting caravel, Santa Maria, as the focal point, Shells, a parrot and lovely lookouts in the crow's nest. Beautiful 'galleon' jacquard weave. As it is a known fact that Hermes has now stopped producing jacquard silk. Navy blue border, green seas, reds and blues. Squared shape, 88x88cm.
Item never used, In excellent conditions. Delivered with a simple foulard Hermes packaging.
