Hermès Sabretaches carré 1977

ABOUT | Very rare vintage Hermès scarf from the 1970s, designed by Francoise de la Perriere titled Sabretaches, first and only edition from 1977. The "sabretaches" that give the carré its name are small shield-shaped bags that were part of the French cavalry uniforms and were used to carry dispatches or small items. All the pockets depicted bear a rooster-shaped emblem, and a rooster is the protagonist at the center of the scarf, which is why it is also known by the title "Coqs d’or". Colors are brown, ochre, gold yellow, and green. Made of silk twill, with hand-rolled hem.
