Very nice square 90cm "The festivals of the Sun King" , designed by Michel Duchene in 1994 , In brocaded silk

impeccable , No stain , no pulled wire or hole , present composition label .
Just note a slight smell of perfume and a slight shadow of stain , but I'm not even sure! (see last photo )

Louis XIV in 1662 wanted to celebrate at the Tuilleries the birth of the dolphin from where a large carousel having for theme "the most famous nations". This square is inspired by the engravings of Silvestre and Chauveau, colored by Jacques Bailly and illustrating a text by Charles Perrault who celebrated the event. Roman page, Persian and Turkish squires, Indian trumpet with their retinue of couriers and grooms... there is even the Duke of Guise in "American king"
