Hermès Luna Park Red
Luna Park,” a gorgeous scarf designed by Joachim Metz for Hermès' 1993 ' "Year of the Horse" themed collection. The design depicts a carousel and the title refers to the original "Luna Park" fairground that operated from 1909 to 1946 in Brooklyn, New York near Coney Island. This scarf is made of coveted Hermès woven jacquard silk. This Hermès features a woven fireworks design that shimmers across the carre̒. Due to the the fact that Hermès ceased weaving and selling its coveted jacquard silk carres in 1995, having found them too expensive to produce, Hermès jacquard silk issues have become rare and highly valuable to Hermès collectors. "Luna Park" is no exception.
