Vintage Mesh Maxi Skirt by Jean Paul Gaultier from the legendary Autumn/Winter 2001 collection.
The print features the distorted face of the famous actress Marlene Dietrich. For this collection, Gaultier used optical illusions where the portrait only becomes fully recognizable from the correct distance through a psychedelic stripe and grid pattern.
The skirt is made of the ultra-lightweight and elastic tulle/mesh fabric typical of Gaultier, which clings closely to the body.
