Rare and collectible, this magnificent box of 4 large YSL squares representing the 4 seasons of the year: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.
Each square is signed YSL and represents a season with it printed on the square as you can see in the photos;
They are 100 % Silk and the edge is rolled by hand ...
They were made in Japan;
Dimension : 86 cm x 88 cm.
Each square wrapped in a box with the name of the season, then the 4 squares are stored in a large box.
All squares are new, they were removed from their packaging only to make the pictures and stored immediately.

FOR THE LITTLE STORY :
EN 1983, and for the first time, a living designer is the subject of a retrospective at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. On the occasion of this exhibition, entitled Yves Saint Laurent - 25 Years of Design, and whose commissioner is Diana Vreeland, the designer makes The Four Seasons, a series of collages depicting autumn, Winter, spring and summer.

Series of four Yves St Laurent lithographs describing the four seasons designed by YSL in the years 1970 and used in his exhibition "Twenty-Five Years of Design" held at the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 1983. It was a spectacular event like M. St. Laurent was the first living fashion designer to be honored by the Metropolitan Museum of Art with a solo exhibition. Also note his signature that is incorporated into each of the prints - not all prints have included his signature! Rarely seen and very collectible!
