In February 2022, Alessandro Michele closed Gucci's Milan runway show with the "Exquisite Gucci" collection: the first collaboration to put the Trefoil and the double G on the same pieces. The first drop landed in June 2022, followed by a second chapter in 2023 built around the Gazelle and the ZX8000. The standout pieces from the Gucci x adidas collab
The Gazelle in GG canvas or velvet is the most sought-after piece, followed by the reworked Horsebit 1955 bag with Trefoil stripes and an antique-gold horsebit clasp. The range also includes the striped duffle and mini duffle, logo bucket hats, Trefoil jacquard tracksuits, umbrellas, and a GG Supreme canvas mixed with adidas's own three stripes. The pouches borrow the Ophidia silhouette, with its signature stripe reworked into the Trefoil motif.
Why this collab still holds appeal
Gucci x adidas was one of Alessandro Michele's last major creative statements before he left the house in autumn 2022. Runs were limited, the two logos rarely share space anywhere else, and certain pieces, the velvet Gazelle, the Horsebit 1955 Mini, never returned to stores after their initial release.
Price: retail versus pre-owned
At retail, the GG canvas Gazelle launched at around €650, next to more than €2,800 for the Horsebit 1955 Mini bag and roughly €2,200 for the mini duffle.
