Pre-Owned Gucci Sneakers | JoliCloset
Gucci turned the sneaker into a true luxury object as soon as Alessandro Michele took over in 2015: the Ace embroidered with bees and snakes, the Rhyton dad sneaker and the Screener low-top inspired by 1970s vintage tennis shoes built the category. JoliCloset now lists more than 320 pairs of pre-owned Gucci sneakers — the largest shoe sub-category in our Gucci catalog.
Styles to know
The Rhyton is the chunky dad sneaker launched in 2018: distressed leather upper, XXL sole, vintage red "Gucci" script. The Ace is slimmer, alternating smooth white leather and GG Supreme canvas with embroidery (bees, stars, snakes). The Screener mixes suede and leather with the Web ribbon and an aged finish. Gucci x Adidas collabs (Gazelle GG, Continental 80) add a streetwear layer, as do the Marmont sneakers with the GG buckle. Men's also includes the Tennis 1977 in canvas.
Materials and sizing
Smooth calfskin, suede, GG Supreme and classic GG monogram canvas, velvet and — on limited editions — pearls, crystals or Mickey Mouse prints. Sizes run EU 34 to 46, with the bulk between 36 and 41. Rhyton and Screener often run slightly large: on second hand, read the listing notes carefully and prefer pairs with photos of the sole.
Resale value
An Ace retails around €590, a Rhyton €790 and a Screener around €690 in boutique. On JoliCloset, well-kept pairs trade between €280 and €480 — up to 55% below retail. Gucci x Adidas or capsule-print editions hold value better (€350-650). The most accessible pairs, below €200, are usually well-worn canvas Aces. For comparison, see Gucci flats and heels.
Authenticating a pair
Markers: a hot-stamped "Gucci Made in Italy" on the insole, a six-digit style code plus size, even stitching, perfectly aligned embroidery, and a cream finish (never pure white) on the aged Rhyton sole. Every pair on JoliCloset is reviewed by our authentication team before going live. Turnover is strong in EU 37 to 40 — list your Gucci sneakers if you're selling.
