Pre-Owned Bottega Veneta Clutches | JoliCloset

The Bottega Veneta clutch covers two very different sentences: the Knot, the sculpted minaudière signed by Tomas Maier in the early 2000s, and the Pouch, the slouchy clutch Daniel Lee launched in 2019 that redefined the silhouette. In between sits Matthieu Blazy's Sardine (2023), with its curved-metal rigid handle. JoliCloset stocks 219 authenticated Bottega Veneta clutches.

Pouch, Mini Pouch, Sardine, Knot

The large Pouch (35 cm) remains the most recognisable piece of the Lee era: soft nappa, no visible clasp, simply crumpled by gesture. The Mini Pouch (22 cm) launched a whole micro-clutch trend. The Sardine reads more formal, carried by its curved metal handle. The Knot remains the evening option: intrecciato on lambskin, satin or python, with a sculpted metal knot clasp — sibling to the Jodie in the "knot" grammar.

Leathers, satins and wear signals

On a Pouch, check the inside corners and the upper rim: nappa marks fast and a crumple becomes a permanent crease. On a satin Knot, the knot must have a firm action, no play — the mechanism is the most telling authentication signal. A well-cared-for vintage Knot intrecciato lambskin develops a soft patina without unravelling.

Resale pricing and authentication

An authenticated large Pouch sits between €950 and €2,400, vs. €3,800 boutique. A pre-owned Mini Pouch runs €550 to €1,400. A vintage Knot, depending on material and vintage, swings from €380 to €2,800 (boutique: €2,200-€6,000). Every piece is checked: weave alignment, clasp action, interior label, production code. Shipping handling time and carrier vary by seller — check each listing before checkout.
