Gianfranco Ferré Pochette nera in pelle Nero

Elegant and rare vintage Gianfranco Ferré evening clutch crafted from genuine black stingray leather, also known as galuchat or shagreen.

Personally purchased from the Gianfranco Ferré boutique in Porto Cervo, Sardinia, in the early 2000s, during the lifetime of the designer. I am the original and only owner, and the clutch has been used only a few times.

The exterior features the naturally textured and subtly luminous surface characteristic of authentic stingray leather. Its structured envelope design is completed by silver-tone hardware engraved “FERRÉ” and a detachable wrist strap with lobster clasp.

The practical accordion-style interior is organised into three main compartments, including one section secured with a zip closure. The internal organiser is divided into two facing sections, each fitted with multiple card slots.

The inside also features the Gianfranco Ferré signature in silver lettering.

CONDITION

Very good vintage condition overall. The clutch has been used only a few times and has retained its original shape and structure.

The interior is clean and free from stains or unpleasant odours. There is one small, localised area of surface wear on the lower exterior, clearly shown in the close-up photographs. The metal hardware displays light natural patina and fine scratches consistent with age.

An authentic and increasingly rare example of early-2000s Gianfranco Ferré design, combining sophisticated evening style with the distinctive luxury texture of genuine galuchat.
