Authentication: what we verify

Every wallet goes through a multi-point inspection: date code for pieces made before March 2021 (letter-and-four-digit format stamped inside a leather fold), RFID chip on newer pieces, stitch count on the main seam, glazing condition on the edges, zipper engraving (LV, YKK, EP), interior heat-stamp ("Louis Vuitton — Made in France / Spain / Italy / USA"), card-slot leather thickness and pattern alignment at corners. The date code is cross-referenced against the workshop and the year/week format used at the time.
