Tattersalls: it's the name of the most prestigious equestrian auction house, founded in England in1766. This is also the name of this fabric decorated with square.
Tatersale? One of the many spellings of this name which like many surnames, changed over the centuries. Sober, specific, Structured, this square depicts the various pieces of harness used during the presentation of the horses: webbing straps, steel jaws, leather nets ... Equestrian art requires a real arsenal that Henri d'Origny uses as decorative elements interlocking in attractive geometric compositions, sometimes twirling or made of arabesques, sometimes calm and wise like this, solidly camped on his square ... Versatile and mixed. The composition tag has been removed.
