Dimensions : 87 cm x 85 cm.
Hand rolled edges.
Dominant colors: black background, orange, green, rose, blue...
Good condition, but the black color on the edge has faded following a trip to the dry cleaners....
The story : Kublai Khan, Mongolian conqueror, winner of the Song, and who proclaimed himself emperor in their place in 1280, left the memory of a strong-willed despot. According to Marco Polo, he sometimes suffocated an enemy in a carpet. Like what the carpet, in ancient China, had other functions than decorating the columns of temples or sheltering the nomadic horseman. It also served as punishment in the hand of the sovereign....
