Designed by Jonathan Anderson and introduced in 2018, the Loewe Hammock takes its name from the soft silhouette that dips at the centre like a garden hammock. Its accordion-pleated snap-out sides fold in or spread open at will, enabling five ways to wear: closed hobo, open shoulder tote, structured top-handle, fitted crossbody or weekend bag. Loewe, Madrid 1846, and the Anderson vision

Loewe was founded in 1846 in the workshop of Enrique Loewe Roessberg, a German leatherworker settled in Madrid, and has set the global benchmark for nappa ever since — the full-grain Spanish calfskin that remains the house's truest signature. When Jonathan Anderson took the creative-director role in 2013, he preserved that leather discipline and layered sculptural architecture on top. The Hammock is the most radical expression of that synthesis: an object that changes shape without losing the hand of the leather.

Hammock sizes: Small, Medium, Mini, Compact, XL

Every size the house produced is represented here: the cult Hammock Small (32 × 16 × 26 cm) with detachable adjustable strap, the more generous Hammock Medium (37 × 20 × 30 cm), the Mini and Compact with shortened handles for a top-handle carry, the Drawstring version and the XL cut for weekends. Materials: Loewe nappa, the industry benchmark

The Hammock is crafted in full-grain nappa calfskin, brushed calf, softened goat or — for summer capsules — woven raffia. Core colours: tan camel, black, caramel, sand and bordeaux, complemented by the Paula's Ibiza, Studio Ghibli and Ken Price drops. That nappa, with its dense suppleness and even grain, remains the most reliable authenticity marker on the secondary market.

Boutique retail for a Hammock Medium sits around €2,500.
