Louis Vuitton Coussin
Pre-owned Louis Vuitton Coussin Bag | JoliCloset
Shown in March 2021 by Nicolas Ghesquière for the fall-winter collection, the Coussin takes the classic Monogram language and re-cuts it in puffy quilted lambskin with an oversized chain and an embossed giant LV motif. It is one of the most recognisable contemporary Louis Vuitton shapes and a deliberate counterpoint to the structured canvas tradition. JoliCloset lists 111 authenticated Louis Vuitton Coussin bags, typically priced between $2,400 and $3,800 depending on size and condition.
Design signature
The brief was simple: swap canvas for soft lambskin and embrace volume. The oversized gold chain, the slouchy top handle and the relief embossing give the bag its pillow silhouette. The interior is lined in matching microsuede with a zipped pocket. It reads as young, sporty and unmistakably LV.
Sizes, colourways and references
Three sizes exist: BB (roughly 8.3 x 6.3 x 3.5 inches), PM (10.2 x 7.9 x 4.7 inches) and MM (13.4 x 9.4 x 4.7 inches). Black and classic tan are the most resellable colourways; seasonal drops have covered pink, almond green, Lima yellow and patent-like metallic Monogram treatments. A mini Coussin clutch exists as a collector piece.
Retail vs pre-owned
Boutique pricing sits around $4,400 for the PM and $5,400 for the MM. On JoliCloset, pre-owned Coussin bags trade between $2,400 and $3,800 in PM, with MM and unworn seasonal editions pushing past $4,400. The Coussin is one of the Ghesquière-era designs with the strongest resale retention, especially in dark neutrals.
Authentication markers
Every Coussin carries an RFID microchip (the model postdates LV's March 2021 switch from date codes to chips). Inspect the depth and sharpness of the LV embossing, quilting integrity (no flattened sections or loose stitches), zipper alignment, and the engraving on the chain hardware. Every Coussin listed on JoliCloset is verified by our team before going live.
