Alexander McQueen Pre-Owned: Authenticated British Avant-Garde

Founded in London in 1992 by Lee Alexander McQueen, the house embodies a specifically British avant-garde where Savile Row precision meets romantic-punk imagery — skulls, tartan, theatrical drape. After Lee's passing in 2010, Sarah Burton held creative direction for thirteen years (2010-2023), succeeded in 2024 by Seán McGirr from JW Anderson. Materials and make

McQueen works smooth and patent calfskin for footwear, skull-printed silk for scarves, tartan wool and crêpe for dresses and tailoring. Bags carry a leather patch debossed Alexander McQueen with crisp edges; soles are stamped Italy or Portugal depending on the line. Note the discontinued diffusion line McQ (red MCQ square, ended 2016): authentic, but priced below the main line.
