Pre-Owned Prada Galleria Bag | JoliCloset

The Prada Galleria takes its name from the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan, where Mario Prada opened the house's very first boutique in 1913. Released in Fall-Winter 2013 and carried in campaign by a new generation of Prada muses, it has since established itself as the reference Saffiano top-handle: 79 pre-owned pieces are currently listed on JoliCloset, out of more than 9,000 Prada bags in total stock.

Available sizes and shapes

The Galleria comes in six official sizes — Micro, Mini, Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large — all sharing the same architecture: structured trapeze body, double leather handle, detachable shoulder strap, and the enamelled Prada triangle on the front. The Medium, the most sought-after pre-owned format, measures roughly 28 × 19 × 12 cm. The Mini and Micro work as evening pieces; the Large and XL handle a 13- or 14-inch laptop with room to spare.

Saffiano leather: the bag's DNA

The Galleria is the standard-bearer of Saffiano leather — the cross-hatch-embossed calf finish patented by Mario Prada in 1913. The rigid texture resists scratches, takes daily handling without showing it and holds its shape over years, which is exactly why pre-owned Galleria bags age so well. Saffiano Bicolor versions (contrast interior or hand-painted edges) and the Galleria Re-Edition in nylon also appear in the catalogue.

Retail vs. pre-owned price

At Prada boutiques, the Galleria currently ranges from around €3,200 for the Mini to over €6,200 for the Large in plain Saffiano.
