Pre-Owned Bulgari Men's Watches | Octo Finissimo, Serpenti | JoliCloset

BVLGARI watchmaking was reborn in 2000 when the Roman maison acquired the Gerald Genta manufacture in Le Sentier — the same workshop behind the Royal Oak and Nautilus. Twelve years later the architectural Octo was launched, and in 2014 the Octo Finissimo began its record-breaking run: the thinnest automatic (5.15 mm), the thinnest tourbillon (1.95 mm), the thinnest GMT chronograph (6.9 mm). Our catalogue gathers 72 authenticated BVLGARI men's watches, 71 automatic and 1 quartz, with prices from €491 to €11,005 and an average ticket around €2,325.

The Roman watchmaking canon

Four lines define the collection. Octo Finissimo is the collector's pick: octagonal case on a circle, 110 facets, integrated satin-brushed bracelet, ultra-thin BVL 138 or BVL 318 calibres in grade-5 titanium, sandblasted steel, rose gold, platinum or ceramic. Octo Roma keeps the architecture but relaxes the case with a sunray dial and a leather or steel bracelet — the entry point to modern BVLGARI watchmaking. Bulgari Bulgari retains the 1977 identity watch with the double-engraved bezel — graphic, unisex, immediately recognisable. Vintage Diagono, Assioma and Rettangolo references add depth for collectors.

How to choose

Pick by movement and metal. Our 71 automatic watches cover the full canon — Octo Finissimo in titanium for the minimalist, rose gold for the statement piece, Octo Roma in steel for daily wear. The single quartz reference is a vintage Bulgari Bulgari. For integrated-bracelet enthusiasts, head straight to the Octo model page. Case diameters span from 38 mm (vintage Bulgari Bulgari) to 43 mm (Octo Roma Chronograph) — measure your wrist first.

Authentication — our watchmaker's protocol

Each timepiece is inspected by our Paris watchmaker. We verify the dial signature — "BVLGARI" with Latin V, never U — the case-back engraving (reference, Swiss Made, serial), the crown signature (stamped BVLGARI), the movement reference (BVL 138, BVL 318, ETA base calibres) and the water resistance marking. Automatics run on the timegrapher to confirm chronometric tolerance; the quartz reference gets a fresh battery and gasket inspection.

Condition, service and box

Each listing details case, bezel and bracelet in macro photography, with service date when available. Budget for a complete revision depending on ownership history — a typical BVLGARI service sits in the €500-€900 range for a standard automatic. Pieces that ship with original box, warranty card and spare bracelet links hold the strongest resale value. Explore the broader Bulgari hub, cross-reference with women's fine watches (225 references, including Serpenti Tubogas), or complete the look with men's bags and accessories.
