The oldest French trunk-maker still in operation, founded in 1853 at 233 Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris, Goyard has dressed demanding travellers for four generations — with no advertising, no official e-commerce site and only around twenty boutiques worldwide. For men, the house focuses its craft on a handful of objects: the Ambassade briefcase, the Bellechasse document holder, crossbody saddlebags and small leather goods. This deliberate confidentiality makes the resale market one of the few quick routes into the brand, and lends lasting value to pieces traded second hand.
