Mario Prada founded the house in Milan in 1913 as a luxury luggage and saddlery workshop. Authenticating a Prada men's bag: the triangle screw tell

Our team starts with the enamelled triangle plaque: on an authentic bag it is fixed with two screws visible from the inside, never glued in. The enamel must be flat and bubble-free, with a sans-serif "Prada Milano" logo. We then check the interior leather stamp "Prada Milano" / "Dal 1913", the serial code, the regularity of the Saffiano cross-hatch (laser-engraved, not flat-printed), and the zippers — Lampo or Riri solid metal, each puller engraved "Prada". Stitch density on genuine pieces sits around 8-10 stitches per inch, perfectly aligned at the corners.
