Paris in the late 1990s—a studio caught between old-world discipline and a young
designer’s sharper edge. The structured silhouette of this Givenchy top-handle
bag feels like a product of that tension: smooth black leather panels, cut with
precision, anchored by a silver-tone push-lock clasp and a single square
handle. The house’s logo appears twice—first on a slim silver plaque at the
front, then again inside, stamped “MAROQUINERIE GIVENCHY” above the 4G mark,
both in crisp sans-serif capital letters.
The body stands upright on four rounded silver-tone feet, with clean lines and
geometry intact. The flap opens to a black fabric-lined interior featuring a zipped
pocket and two open compartments for essentials. All hardware is in bright silver,
unengraved, and unembellished. Designed to be carried by hand only—streamlined,
functional, and self-contained.
Produced around the time of Alexander McQueen’s tenure at Givenchy, when the maison’s
accessories adopted cleaner lines even as the runway collections took a more dramatic turn. The
sharp, angular structure and crisp branding on this licensed piece reflect an era
defined by a designer who introduced a sharper silhouette to the house’s secondary
lines.

hardware are bright and intact.
