Paris, late 1970s: the Givenchy studio was quietly shifting toward geometric
signatures, and the 4G logo had just been introduced across the house’s accessories.
This compact bifold wallet captures that moment in its gold-tone logo plaque—a
crisp square set flush against finely textured red leather, the surface
structured yet supple to the touch.
A gold-tone frame clasp secures the edge, opening to a matching red fabric
lining with three card slots and a full-width compartment for bills. The
Givenchy logo is stamped inside, its presence subtle. There is no interior label
visible, but the construction is unmistakably of its era: precise, unpretentious,
designed for daily use.
The hardware and leather show only minimal signs of wear; the corners and clasp
retain their luster with hardly any marks. This is a product of the
Hubert de Givenchy era, when the house favored clarity and strong
lines—evident here in the sharply defined logo plaque and restrained color palette.
No accessories are included with the piece.
