Pre-Owned Louis Vuitton Looping Bag | JoliCloset

The Looping, launched by Louis Vuitton in the late 90s, is a half-moon shoulder baguette — one of the most widespread bags of the pre-Marc Jacobs era. Its low curve and flat natural Vachetta strap make it a genuine 2000s signature, now fully vintage. JoliCloset lists over 265 authenticated pre-owned Looping bags, primarily in Monogram canvas.

Looping PM, MM, GM

The Looping PM (24 × 14 × 7.5 cm) is the compact size for essentials — worn close to the body. The Looping MM (28 × 17 × 9 cm) is the reference size, fitting a phone, a wallet and a small beauty pouch. The Looping GM (32 × 19 × 10 cm) adds room for a book or a tablet. All versions share the same base: front S-zip, fixed flat strap, rigid shell.

Canvases

The Looping was produced mainly in Monogram canvas with natural Vachetta trim — strap, base, zip pull. Limited Damier Ebene runs exist. More rarely, Mini Monogram versions can be found (smaller-pattern Monogram canvas, 2003-2007). The model was never produced in Empreinte or Damier Azur. Pre-owned vs retail pricing

The Looping is a discontinued model — only available second hand. On JoliCloset, authenticated examples start around €280-400 for PM Monogram in good condition, €400-600 for MM in very good shape, and €550-800 for rare versions (Mini Monogram, Damier Ebene). A very accessible entry point into vintage luxury.

Authentication

All Looping bags pre-date 2021. The two-letter four-digit date code is heat-stamped inside, on a leather tab stitched to the lining or on the lining itself near the side seam. Our experts check the saffron-yellow stitching, the Vachetta strap condition (the most wear-exposed element), the "LOUIS VUITTON Paris made in France" stamp on the clasp plaque and Monogram alignment at the curved seams.
