Sizes and variants

The Tote comes in Small, Medium, Large and XL sizes. The Tessuto nylon Tote carries the soft silhouette inherited from the Vela: slim handles, metal triangle, printed lining. The Saffiano Tote takes the structured route, often with an enamel triangle plaque. The Re-Nylon Tote (2019 onwards) is visually identical to classic Tessuto but in regenerated ECONYL.

Materials and finishes

Three materials dominate: Tessuto nylon (light, water-repellent, the historic signature), cross-grained Saffiano (scratch-resistant, holds shape) and Re-Nylon ECONYL (visually identical to Tessuto, lower carbon footprint). The stitched-on metal triangle and the Prada-Milano printed lining are the primary markers.

Pre-owned price and value

At retail, the nylon Tote starts at $1,950, the Saffiano passes $2,800. On JoliCloset, Prada Totes start at $160 for well-worn models, around $400-$800 for nylon in good condition, and up to $1,600 for recent large-format Saffiano. The 1990s-2000s vintage models (often stamped "Prada Milano") hold their value well.
