Four recurring silhouettes

The shearling teddy coat — mid-length, oversized, in natural beige or ivory, one of Marant's most-photographed silhouettes. The slim wool overcoat — belted or double-breasted, in camel, navy or charcoal, cut to close over a knit. The quilted puffer, usually hip-length in matte technical nylon with a detachable hood. The Étoile pea coat — navy wool, the diffusion's most repeatable silhouette, cut relaxed.

Fit and sizing

Marant outerwear runs oversized by design. The teddy and the puffer are meant to drop at the shoulder and swallow the torso; order true to size or one down if you dislike slouch. The slim wool overcoat is the exception — it is cut to follow the waist and should be bought true to size for the correct drape. Sleeve length often runs long on the main line; this is intentional, not a sizing issue.

Materials and seasonal rotation

Main-line coats use wool-cashmere blends (typically 70/30 or 80/20) with silk or viscose linings, and real lambskin shearling on winter teddies. Étoile diffusion pieces use boiled wool or teddy-bouclé for a softer hand and lower retail. Puffers run on matte technical nylon with recycled down or synthetic fill on recent seasons. Production origins: most main-line coats are made in Romania, Bulgaria or Portugal; Étoile pieces often originate in India or China.
