Balenciaga Day Bag

The Day is the asymmetric hobo version of the Motorcycle family, designed by Nicolas Ghesquière in the mid-2000s. A single long shoulder strap, a crescent silhouette, and every City signature carried over in softer form: distressed goatskin, brass studs and zipped "Lariat" tassels. The Motorcycle DNA, slouchy version

Where the City is structured, the Day wears flat against the body, slung over the shoulder. The most common size sits around 38 × 28 cm, with a slightly smaller Day Hobo variant. Hardware follows the Balenciaga taxonomy: Classic Brass aged brass on Ghesquière-era originals, Giant 12 / 21 on stud-heavy variants, Edge polished silver on later seasons. The long zipped tassels and the front stud row are the visual markers of the house.

Archive leathers and colours

Aged goatskin is central to the model: it marks lightly, develops a soft fold with use and patinas evenly. Archive colourways — Magenta, Bubblegum, Bordeaux, Forest, Anthracite — now circulate only second hand and are the most value-stable on this model.
