The Must de Cartier, launched in 1972 as the Maison's diffusion line, remains the most recognisable range: smooth bordeaux calfskin, gold-embossed double-C, monogrammed interior. The Happy Birthday line plays a softer, sometimes grained calfskin with discreet metal details. The Panthère line carries the panther head on embossed or printed leather. The C de Cartier cardholders combine leather with metal framing, a direct echo of the C de Cartier bag. Rarer exotic series (crocodile, lizard) and monogram canvas with metal corners appear occasionally.

What our experts verify

Checks cover the alignment of the "Cartier" logo (embossed or gold-stamped), the tone-on-tone double C, the discreet metal signature on zippers and frames, and the match between the serial code and the heat-stamped reference inside. We inspect leather grain, stitch tension (Cartier's saddle-stitched pieces use beige or écru waxed thread), corner wear, popper tension and zip function. The original red Cartier box and care booklet are flagged when they accompany the piece.
