The Hermès glove is one of the catalog's quietest objects and one of the most technically demanding: skins are picked goat by goat, Plongé lambskin is tanned specifically, and the silk or cashmere lining is hand-sewn. Leathers and finishes

Three families dominate: soft, warm goatskin (the standard); caressing Plongé lambskin; and grained peccary for more structured pieces. Lengths run from short wrist gloves to mid-elbow (12-button and beyond). Stitching is always saddle-style — visible on the thumb and wrist. The Hermès Paris mark is press-stamped inside the wrist.

Authentication and purchase
