Iconic dresses

Printed-silk dresses (1990s florals, 2000s geometrics, the 2014 Frankenstein runway) are among the most sought-after. Straight crepe dresses, column or trapeze cut, remain wardrobe staples for office and evening. Miuccia archive dresses — often re-embroidered or jacquard — trade pre-owned at rising prices. Under Raf Simons (from 2020), the dress turns more structured, with collections playing on the tailoring-meets-archive juxtaposition.

Materials and finishes

Printed silk, technical crepe, silk jersey, jacquard, taffeta, lace. Inner "Prada" label with production code, lining often in bemberg or silk, seam and closure finish.

Pre-owned pricing

Retail places Prada dresses between $1,650 (simple jersey or crepe) and $4,800 (printed silk or archive). On JoliCloset they start near $130 for more-worn pieces, around $400-$800 for contemporary dresses in good condition, and up to $2,200 for 1990s-2000s collector pieces.
