CC buckles usually come in matte ruthenium or brushed silver, rarely bright gold — a deliberate nod to male dressing.

Authentication

Authentication runs on the heat-stamped serial number (7 or 8 digits on an adhesive strip inside, NFC chip from 2021 onwards), the "CHANEL Made in France" or "Made in Italy" plaque, the even diamond quilting with eleven stitches per cell, chain weight and a crisp push-lock snap.
