Founded in 1917 in San Sebastián by Cristóbal Balenciaga and moved to Paris in 1937, the Spanish house was long described by Coco Chanel and Christian Dior as "the master of us all". Acquired by Kering in 1986, it has since been steered by Nicolas Ghesquière, Alexander Wang and Demna Gvasalia, with Pierpaolo Piccioli taking over in 2025. Bags: from the Ghesquière City to Demna's Hourglass

The catalogue features more than 2,380 Balenciaga women's bags, from Mini to XL and across every signature material. The Balenciaga City stays the most sought-after piece: launched in 2001 by Nicolas Ghesquière in distressed lambskin with its trademark "Lariat" tassels, it defined the 2000s It bag era and still trades strongly second hand. The Hourglass, designed by Demna in 2019, plays on a structured silhouette with the BB buckle; the 2022 Le Cagole revives the City's DNA in an exaggerated, stud-covered form.
