Designed in 2001 by Nicolas Ghesquière, the Balenciaga City — known as the Motorcycle or Lariat — defined the It-bag aesthetic of the 2000s. Washed, deliberately distressed lambskin, an inner mirror, long shoulder straps and that unmistakable signature: a Lampo zipper trimmed with flat studs and a braided leather tassel.
