Beautiful shawl(or giant square) of collection of 140 x 140 cm, in 65% cashmere and 35% silk, titled "At the Doors of the Palace"
Designed for the 2008 collection by Christine Henry theme the year of Indian fantasies.
A deep understanding of culture, of Indian art and mythology inspired Christine Henry to create this drawing "Aux Portes Du Palais".
Every detail, character, animal, architectural element is deliberate and richly symbolic. The big doors symbolize the threshold between two worlds: the visible and the invisible. Fruit-filled trees burst with Buddha-like flowers in Indian folk art and symbolize iconic fertility animals. Are present: the elephant mounted by Indra(the king of the gods, the equivalent of Zeus), storming and rain. The horse meanwhile, bring peace and prosperity(symbol of wisdom and formal beauty) ; the cow, symbolizes the foster mother, fertility, abundance and light.
The upperr represents the energy of nature by its strength and fertility. Buddhists, the upperr is likened to the faith, and the spiritual effort. The four dancers near the trees recount the legends of the gods and stories of everyday life using graceful gestures. »

There are 2 drawn threads that will not show when the shawl is folded and do not remove anything from this shawl, very rare in these colors. The price displayed takes into account because it is normally more expensive than the shop price in this beautiful color.
