Beautiful square collection Hermes titled "Parade Leonhardi" 70 X 70 cm 100% vintage silk, created by Sylvia Kerr in 2014.
In Bavaria, at the beginning of November, many municipalities celebrate St. Leonard who watches over cattle, horses and farmers. Since the 15th century, this event has resulted in a beautiful procession of richly decorated carriages. Even today, especially in the town of Bad Tölz, whose procession is the most famous, men and women wear their regional costumes and parade for hours in carts painted with traditional popular motifs. The horses are dressed in their finery. This embroidered leather harness, decorated with escutcheons, fringes and tassels is a very good example. Perfectly versatile and mixed, it has never been worn.
